Norwegian photographer Oyvind Hjelmen has defined a uniquely personal view of life in contemporary Norway for more than a decade. His photography has been celebrated in solo and group shows throughout Europe. His hand-printed photographs have a timeless, universal appeal. For this series, he writes:
A house is being emptied.
A house that was home to a family for several generations.
What is left when all the little objects, once so precious,
and all the pictures that were on the walls are gone?
What stories do the empty - or nearly empty - walls tell?
What is left in an empty room?
