Chongqing is one of the world's largest cities and the economic centre of south-western China. Its ever-changing appearance oscillates between renewal and decay. This creates a striking contrast between the built and natural environments. Despite the city's relentless dynamism and density, I find quiet places where it exhales and rests. Here, I focus on artefacts created by the inhabitants that demonstrate how humans and nature can coexist.
