This work is part of the ongoing series "Victim of a Great Cause" and tells the story of my grandmother's atomic bombing in Hiroshima.
History always repeats itself.
Although the ages, social conditions, and number of victims differ, there have been various incidents that occurred against the backdrop of the perpetrator's cause.
For people to carry out something, they need a rationale or reason for their actions, and they are willing to pay little attention to the slight sacrifices that result from their actions. For the perpetrators, the "cause" is always just a selfish pretext, and once they have served their purpose, that is the end of it.
People's interest explodes for a time and is soon forgotten. For third parties, the incident ends there, but the damage and suffering of those involved, especially the victims, continue long afterward.
Through this work, I will depict the impact of a major incident that shook Japanese society on the victims and their families, as seen from the victims' point of view.
